Joni Mitchell covering Mingus. What could go wrong? Probably a lot, but this is wound up being one of her classier outings, featuring a lineup of jazz titans (Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Jaco Pastorius, and more). Somewhat overlooked upon its release. Ripe for reevaluation.
