There Should be no artistic problem with pre-conceived compostion or spontaneous composition (total imporvisation). Both are part of the complete music.
Andy and I imposed one rule upon ourselves before entering the studio. That rule being that no musical preparation was to be made individually or collectively. The music had to be carved like sculpture from the air. After three days the sculpture was completed.

Shades 10 and 12 have been omitted from the vinyl pressing to avoid the deterioration of the lower frequency response on this album. The piano used throughout the recording demonstrated on a spectrum analyser frequencies below 80hz.
