Martin Verrall: C/O The Brain
"This is a great record musically, but it's also stunning from an audiophile perspective. Anyone with a turntable should own a copy."
--Joseph Taylor, Senior Music Editor, SoundStage! Xperience
Martin Verrall is a well-loved and established musician who hails from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Born in England but raised in Hamilton and now living in Los Angeles, Mark Howard is one of the world's most influential producers and recording engineers, having worked with Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Iggy Pop, Marianne Faithfull, R.E.M., The Tragically Hip, Tom Waits, and many more.
Howard is known for producing a true high-fidelity, authentic sound on his recordings. Verrall is known for his unique vocal style and powerful songwriting. Together with Verrall's band, the pair created _C/O The Brain_, a compelling new album featuring eight standout songs composed by Verrall, recorded by Howard in three Hamilton locations, and presented as a limited-edition, individually numbered package (up to 500 copies). The album itself is pressed on 180-gram vinyl and comes in a gatefold cover featuring Merrall's "fire fox" artwork and photos from the recording sessions on the inside. The sound was transferred to vinyl exactly as Mark Howard intended it, resulting in a truly breathtaking sonic experience.
C/O The Brain is also the first release from SoundStage! Recordings, a label committed to providing the highest-quality recorded sound to listeners of artists they need to hear.
