Patrice Rushen started off playing synths and electric piano and cuting albums in jazz funk / fusion mode, giving Herbie Hancock and co. a serious run for their money, before switching gears and delivering some beautiful soul albums. Turns out she was an amazing singer, too! This is one of the few albums that features her showcasing all of her talents, playing rhodes on some tracks, delivering lead vocals on others. One of our favourite major label female musicians from the 70s and early 80s. Don't miss this!
