Rated at 28 watts per channel, this little gem is completely overbuilt and sounds like much more (and probably is).
Excellent four-gang FM tuner that will pick up stations with ease, two phono inputs and two tape monitors in addition to an Aux input, high and low filters, mono and loudness buttons, and it will accommodate 3 sets of speakers. It's surprisingly heavy for its size and extremely well-built. Oh, and the case is real wood veneer, too.
None of this would matter much if the Sansui 6 didn't sound good, and sound good it does. Actually, that's an understatement. It's warm but punchy, more lively than comparable Marantz receivers and integrated amps from the same era. Excellent phono stage. Everything, from FM stereo to playing record albums and digital sources, sounds great through it. It has an addictive sound
