Film composer Bernard Herrmann conducting his one and only Symphony on this 1974 recording with the National Philharmonic Orchestra (recording alias for London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra). Original RHS 331 Unicorn UK 1975 pressing. Symphony was written in 1941, the year after his breakout score for Citizen Kane. Recording by Decca Phase 4 producer Gavin Barrett with the legendary orchestral engineer Bob Auger. Slight bend in jacket, otherwise NM.
