There are records that come out of nowhere and feel immediately like they've always been here. Sunday Stew, the debut LP from The Haylofters, is one of those records.

The band is led by Robert, who many of you will know from right here at The Record Centre — he's been part of this shop for going on 14 years now. Sunday Stew is his band's first full-length, and it's a collection of songs rooted in the Ottawa Valley: good times, bad times, dogs, Saturday nights, the radio, and everything that accumulates in a life lived somewhere real. If outlaw country, rock and roll, folk, and the wide territory in between those things sounds like your kind of listening, this record was made for you.

It was engineered and mixed by Flynn Graham, and mastered by Philip Shaw Bova — the first person we would ever choose to master anything, full stop.

The Haylofters are Robert, Brad Lapensee, Cameron McGetrick, Sammy J., Scorpian, Abigail White, and Paige Kedrosky.

Sunday Stew is available now on all streaming platforms. The vinyl is available right here at 1099 Wellington Street West — you can pick it up in the shop and take it home today.
