The album was recorded May 1997 at the Hotel2Tango on a 16-track recorder. Band name, album title, and image frame are embossed on the front of the handmade jacket, which is a deep purple card-stock. One of three offset prints (this one being 'Road Sign') was glued onto the covers. Back cover includes a hand-drawn cross, catalog number "cst003", and a stamped Constellation Records logo all in silver ink. Inserts: - Plain 8.5x5.5" manila envelope containing: a Canadian penny flattened by a train, a folded 8.5x11" blueprint artwork ("Faulty Schematics of Ruined Machine"), a folded 8.5x3.75" credit sheet, and a 4.5x7" concert bill. - Square screen print of a locomotive with "For the Reverend Gary Davis" written on it's side in reddish-brown ink on green paper. The vinyl center labels are plain black with no information on them, but the track titles and catalog numbers are etched into the runout grooves. The clear outer jacket sleeve has a sticker on the front of it which reads "godspeed you black emperor! f#a#∞ original 1997 lp" in purple ink.
